Our Parent and Community Group is a vital part of Blue Gum Montessori School. The Parent and Community Group consists of a group of dedicated parents who achieve much throughout the course of the year. The group creates a unique community spirit that thrives at our school and sets it apart from others.
The Parent and Community Group is responsible for organising events and fundraisers that enhance the student’s enjoyment and learning experiences, whilst raising much-needed funds for many projects and equipment at the School. The Parent and Community Group have a collaborative working relationship with the School ensuring we are able to support projects and programs that help with the growth and development of our children.
There are multiple roles within the PCG with varying levels of commitment. Parents with corporate backgrounds have thoroughly enjoyed becoming School Board members or joining Board sub-committees, and those with a knack for community engagement and event planning find themselves at home in our Parent Community Group (PCG). Other parents have found that lending a hand on smaller or one-off events such as excursions, accompanying bush school lessons or busy bees is a much better fit to their schedule.
