Our Parent and Community Group is a vital part of Blue Gum Montessori School. The Parent and Community Group consists of a group of dedicated parents who achieve much throughout the course of the year. The group creates a unique community spirit that thrives at our school and sets it apart from others.
The Parent and Community Group is responsible for organising events and fundraisers that enhance the students’ enjoyment and learning experiences, whilst raising much needed funds for many projects and equipment at the School. The Parent and Community Group have a collaborative working relationship with the School ensuring we are able to support projects and programs that help with the growth and development of our children.
You are invited to join the Parent and Community Group and your level of involvement is welcome. Your involvement can range from being a Class Liaison to one of any Parent and Community Group’s volunteering positions with events throughout the year, to taking an active role in the School or even just attending the Parent and Community Group meetings to see what goes on. Other forms of engagement include helping out with special projects e.g. playground renovations, manning a store at the BGMS Fete or devoting your time to do some gardening.
