Specialist Programs

Blue Gum Montessori School also offers Specialist Programs for our students.

BGMS Choir

The Blue Gum Montessori School Choir consists of students from Year 3 to Year 6. These children sacrifice one lunchtime a week to rehearse a range of songs.

The Choir frequently performs at School Assemblies or ceremonies and at our End of Year Concert. In 2023 we were honoured to be invited to take part in the OneBigVoice Festival, performing to an audience of thousands at the RAC Arena.

BGMS String Ensemble

The Blue Gum Montessori School String Ensemble consists of students from Pre-primary onwards who learn the violin through our Instrumental Program.

These students practice one morning a week, and have become a frequent feature of School Assemblies and other events.

Year 6 Leaders

All Year 6 students participate in a leadership development program during their graduation year. It includes experiences such as an overnight retreat, as well as opportunities to learn about and provide leadership within the School and in our community.
