Celebrating Book Week 2024

We’ve come to the end of Book Week 2024, and what a week it was! Students had the chance to peruse the shelves at our Scholastic Book Fair after
school from Wednesday 14 August to Monday 19 August. With popular titles flying off the shelves, we are looking forward to seeing if we break last years sales record!

A select group of Upper Primary students travelled to Methodist Ladies College on Tuesday 20 August for the annual Reader’s Cup Challenge. These two teams of students read an impressive 12 books each in preparation to for the event. Well done to our participating students.

Book Week celebrations also included our annual Book Week Parade, held on Wednesday 21 August, where students revelled in the chance to dress up as their favourite book characters. We saw characters from some of the literary classics, like Anne of Green Gables and Little Women. There were witches and wizards, superheroes and
princesses, even a few sporting stars like Sam Kerr. The children were so proud to show off their outfits to their friends and especially loved seeing the teachers come
together and dress up as characters from some Seussian classics. Our Junior Primary teachers travelled all the way in from Whoville as they dressed up as characters from How The Grinch Stole Christmas, Middle Primary teachers had fun with rhymes as they represented One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish, and Upper Primary tucked into some Green Eggs and Ham.
