This week we celebrated the birthday of Maria Montessori, who was born on this day all the way back in 1870!

We began our day with an Open Classroom. It was wonderful to see mums, dads, family members and other special friends take time out of their busy mornings to come into the classrooms and see their child’s work. The children loved giving their parents a tour of their classroom and showing them all the interesting learning they’ve completed so far this term.

In the afternoon, the children got a special treat, gelato! Our Year Six students were responsible for serving up the sweet treat, and everyone enjoyed their afternoon in the sun. One little girl from Tuart declared that it was “the best day ever”, and we are inclined to agree.
