Our Inaugural Art Exhibition

Wet and windy weather couldn’t keep the crowds away from our inaugural BGMS Art Exhibition!

Individual pieces of artwork and whole class projects were displayed for all to see in Kambarra and the Art Studio, and students enjoyed showing off their creative work to parents, siblings, family and friends.

We received a special NAIDOC Week visit from Wajarri Yamatji artist Gabrielle Bruce, who showed us some of her own artwork and helped us create a special NAIDOC Week mural.

We were also treated to performances by the BGMS String Ensemble and Choir, who opened the event. Our Year 6 Leaders organised a Bake Sale for the event, creating their own promotional posters and baking the treats themselves. They raised a massive $863.25, with the lemonade stand raising $65.75 alone.

Thank you to everyone who attended our inaugural Art Exhibition, we’re sure it will become a tradition for years to come!
