Year 6 attend ANZAC Day Youth Parade

On Thursday, 27 April our Year 6 School Leaders participated in the City of Cockburn’s ANZAC Youth Parade and Service.

The City of Cockburn ANZAC Youth Parade is one of only a handful of ANZAC youth parades held each year nationwide. Children from local schools are invited to speak, sing and pay their respects. Our Year 6’s behaved admirably as they quietly listened to the Mayor of Cockburn, returned servicemen and other school students address the crowd. It was a beautiful tribute to Australia’s fallen servicemen and women and a reminder of the enduring nature of the ANZAC spirit. Our Year 6 Leaders were honoured to be able to lay a wreath during the ceremony.
